Bonnie is a talented landscape photographer based in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Before settling in the Sandhills, she lived in Washington, D.C. Since 2006, Bonnie has been selling her captivating photographs of North Carolina and New England to clients both locally and internationally.
Photography has always been a central part of Bonnie’s life. Her journey began at the age of 14 when her parents gifted her a 35mm SLR camera, sparking a lifelong passion. With her Mamiya camera, she moved beyond casual snapshots, challenging herself to create images that are both stirring and memorable. After a 30-year career as a college counselor, Bonnie transitioned to photography full-time, pursuing her creative passion with enthusiasm.
Her work is deeply influenced by her love of color, composition, and design, as well as her fascination with light. Early morning light, often captured before dawn, plays a pivotal role in her landscape photography. Today, she works with a professional full-frame Nikon digital camera, striving to create images that evoke awe and convey the beauty of nature.
Bonnie has studied photography at the prestigious Corcoran School of Art and has attended numerous photography workshops to refine her craft. She holds a master’s degree in counseling and an undergraduate degree in psychology, bringing a unique perspective to her art that resonates with viewers around the world.
