Stephanie Slack is an award-winning 22 year old emerging artist who began her formal art education as an 11 year old with great enthusiasm for all things artistic.
A 2019 graduate of Fayetteville Christian School, Stephanie was honored as her class Valedictorian. and graduated in 2021 from Sandhills Community College with an Associate Degree in Arts. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at East Carolina University with plans to earn a Master of Fine Arts in the future.
In 2022, one of Stephanie's works in pastel was selected as the First Place winner in Drawing at the annual Moore County Arts Council Fine Arts Festival, a prestigious judged exhibition in central North Carolina which attracts entrants from all over the Southeastern United States.
Stephanie has always been creative and also has a passion for foreign missions. Her art varies in style and subject matter but American Western scenes are one of her favorites. She also loves to create paintings based on photographs she has taken during her various mission trips. Her art continuously evolves as she takes courses in Textiles, Photography, Digital Illustration, etc. She is clearly "one to watch!"
As a teenager, Stephanie was invited to intern at Eye Candy Gallery which led to summer employment while finishing high school. She is now a year round regular Design Associate at the gallery (when not at college!) as well as a resident artist at Studio 275, a creative space located directly above the gallery.
