Jenay Jarvis, a Moore County, North Carolina-based artist, channels her love for indigo waters, distant mountains, and lush gardens into her vibrant oil paintings. Her work, inspired by the dynamic energy of the Post-Impressionist movement, exudes bold contrasts, fluid motion, and a dreamlike sense of escape.
In March 2020, her Painted Pony Like Water for Horses graced the cover of Pinestraw Magazine and was auctioned to support the Carolina Horse Park’s annual fundraiser. She followed this success in 2021 with The Sun and Her Flowers, a beloved Painted Pony that captured hearts and helped raise vital funds for the park.
Jenay’s debut solo exhibition, When Loblollies Dream, premiered at Eye Candy Gallery in February 2022, offering a window into her whimsical and expansive artistic vision. In September 2024, she and artist Pat McBride unveiled their collaborative exhibition, Strange Magic, at the Arts Council of Moore County, earning high praise for their imaginative and layered work.
Now serving as the Executive Director of the Anson County Arts Council in Wadesboro, NC, Jenay continues to champion creativity, fostering inspiration in her community and beyond.
