Eye Candy Gallery & Framing (“Eye Candy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates www.eye-candy-gallery.com (the “Site”), including our online shop, class and event registration, and email sign-ups. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information you give us directly

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, and the message you send us.
  • Online shop (checkout): your name, billing and shipping address, phone number, email address, and order details.
  • Customer accounts: the account information you provide when you create a login on the Site (name, email, address, and order history).
  • Class and event registration: your name, contact information, and any details you provide about the class or event you’re signing up for.
  • “First Look List” email sign-up: your email address (and name, if you provide it).

Payment information

Payments made through the Site are processed by Square. We do not store your full credit or debit card number on our servers — Square collects and processes that information directly under its own privacy policy. We do receive limited transaction details from Square, such as the amount charged, order number, and last four digits of your card, for order and accounting records.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site and our hosting and shop software may automatically log standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. Our shopping cart software (WooCommerce) also uses essential cookies to keep track of items in your cart and to keep you logged into your account. We do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking tools (such as Google Analytics or the Meta/Facebook Pixel) on the Site. If that changes, we will update this section to describe what’s added and the choices you have.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill orders, payments, and returns
  • Create and maintain your customer account
  • Register you for classes and events and communicate about them
  • Respond to questions and requests submitted through our contact form
  • Send “First Look List” emails about new artwork and early access, if you’ve signed up
  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site
  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for purposes unrelated to running our gallery, framing, and class business.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only as needed to run the Site and our business:

  • Square — to process payments
  • Our email service provider — to send “First Look List” emails and order-related communications, once selected
  • Our website host and shop platform (SiteGround, WordPress, and WooCommerce) — to run and secure the Site
  • Shipping carriers — to deliver orders, where shipping is offered
  • Professional advisors and authorities — where required to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect our rights, customers, or business

Each of these third parties has access only to the information needed to perform its function and is responsible for safeguarding it under its own privacy policy.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function — for example, to remember what’s in your shopping cart and to keep you logged into your account. You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, but some parts of the Site (like checkout) may not work properly without them.

We keep order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, meet our tax and accounting obligations, and resolve any disputes. Contact form messages and class/event registration details are kept as long as reasonably needed to respond to your inquiry or deliver the class or event, and are periodically deleted afterward. You can ask us to delete your account or contact information at any time, as described below.

  • Unsubscribe: every “First Look List” email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us directly.
  • Access, correct, or delete your information: contact us using the information below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
  • Account information: you can update most of your account details by logging into your account on the Site.

If you are a California resident or otherwise covered by a state privacy law that gives you additional rights (such as the right to know, delete, or opt out of certain uses of your information), contact us and we will honor requests to the extent the law applies to our business.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including relying on Square for payment processing so that full card numbers never touch our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site may link to other websites, including social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or our practices. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on the Site.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise any of the choices above, contact us at:
